XIM APEX never fully supported PS5 and no new game support was promised. It can still be used by Remote Play in all PS5 games using a DualShock 4. We’ve been warning about this happening on PS5 for over a year. If you want next-gen game support for XIM, get an Xbox.
How do I plug in XIM?
With your console already on and displaying on your TV, connect your XIM4 to your console using the supplied USB cable. Your XIM4 will power-up. You will see your XIM4 display a rainbow light sequence and then initialize your gaming peripherals. When your XIM4 is ready, it’ll display a red “breathing” light sequence.

Yeah I think back in the day when I used the XIM4 it was exactly like that. Autoaim is based on the game you’re playing and the console doesn’t know you’re actually not playing with a controller anymore, thus having Autoaim on anyway.
