When should I take grazax?
Grazax® is taken daily for three years. If the treatment is to be successful and have long-term benefits, it is extremely important that Grazax® is taken every day during the entire treatment period, unless there are troublesome side effects or the person taking Grazax® is unwell.

Each GRAZAX® tablet contains 75,000 SQ-T standardised allergen extract of grass pollen from Timothy grass (Phleum pratense) as the active ingredient. Other ingredients The tablet also contains: • gelatine (from fish) • mannitol • sodium hydroxide.

How are allergens from Grazax absorbed?
The main part of the allergens in Grazax is polypeptides and proteins, which are expected to be broken down to amino acids and small polypeptides in the lumen of the gastrointestinal tract and in tissues. It is expected that allergens from Grazax are not absorbed into the vascular system to any significant extent.
Can Grazax cause anaphylaxis?
Cases of serious anaphylactic reactions including anaphylactic shock have been reported for Grazax and are considered a class effect. Medical supervision at first sublingual tablet intake is therefore recommended (see Section 4.2 Dose and Method of Administration).
Is Grazax safe for patients with asthmatic asthma?
Asthma is a known risk factor for severe systemic allergic reactions. Grazax has not been studied in patients with severe and uncontrolled asthma. Patients with asthma must be informed of the need to seek medical attention immediately if their asthma deteriorates suddenly.
